This window is an extremely
complex stained glass window built as a standard insulated glass
unit. The hand blown flashed glass is cut and acid etched for
assembly. Rather than being built with lead channel, the pieces
are cut to fit together precisely, and laminated to one side
of a sheet of 1/4thick tempered float glass. The other
pane has been extensively sandblasted with text and a light
acid wash to control the tone. The effect is seamless, multilayered,
and brilliant.
