Fernanda
D'Agostino is an extensively experienced public artist, particularly
working as the head or part of design teams on public projects.
Based in Portland, OR, she is well known for her work in video,
glass and a variety of materials, in galleries and projects
throughout the Northwest.

Her projects in glass often include still images from her videos.
These stainless steel towers and windscreens are installed on
outdoor train platforms in Portland. Two or three layers of
images derived from her videos are silkscreened with vitreous
enamels and fired on separate panes of tempered float glass.
The panes are assembled into triple glazed insulated glass units.
The windows are portraits of dreaming people from the community,
superimposed over the subjects of their dreams.

feature layers of imagery from the community, including old
maps of the neighborhood, library portraits and text. The art
glass painting is incorporated into insulated glass units and
installed as part of the buildings regular glazing schedule.
